Before that you need to dump the password hashes from Windows system using Windows Password Decryptor tool. Then specify the hash (LM/NTLM) of the user into 'Windows Password Kracker' to recover the password for that user.

'Windows Password Kracker' uses simple & faster Dictionary based password recovery technique. By default it comes with sample password file with common password list.

However you can find good collection of password dictionaries (also called wordlist) here & here.

Though it supports only Dictionary Crack method, you can easily use tools like Crunch, Cupp to generate brute-force based or any custom password list file and then use it with 'Windows Password Kracker'.

Note: First you need to extract the password hashes (LM/NTLM) from Windows system using Windows Password Decryptor tool. Then specify this hash (LM/NTLM) of the user into 'Windows Password Kracker' to recover the password for that user.

Here are simple steps

• Run 'Windows Password Kracker' on any system (preferably faster system)
• Enter the LM/NTLM hash of the password to be recovered
• Specify has type LM/NTLM
• Select the password dictionary file. Sample password list (passlist.txt) is included with this application
• Next click on "Start Recovery" to begin the recovery operation.
• During recovery, it will show detailed status of password tried as shown in screenshot below
• On success, it will display the message and along with recovered password.
• Finally you can click on Export button to generate detailed recovery report.
